About Kerry

Kerry is a consultant, researcher and writer who has completed numerous reviews, evaluations, audits and action research projects for a wide range of clients including local authorities, voluntary organisations, public bodies, partnership boards, NHS and central government departments. She is committed to the development of learning cultures within organisations. To this end she supports individuals and teams to continually develop their individual and collective commitment, creativity and capacity. Kerry also helps people to translate their values into policy and practice.

Kerry's background is in youth work where she was previously a detached youth worker and national officer at the National Youth Bureau, National Association of Youth Clubs (now UK Youth), and National Youth Agency. Kerry has a Master's degree in Organisation Development from the University of Loughborough and a PhD from De Montfort University, Leicester. Kerry is a qualified coach with Coaching Development. She is also accredited with the International Coach Federation

Kerry's first novel 'Pao' was published by Bloomsbury in June 2011 and Bloomsbury US in July 2011.

Kerry now works as a novelist and writer supporting other writers through manuscript appraisal, mentoring and workshops. She also continues to undertake some writing commissions focusing on policy, practice and learning. www.kerryyoung.co.uk
