Learning culture (2005-2006)
Evaluation of the impact of Teaching PCT status and associated activities on the development of learning cultures within Northampton, Eastern Leicester and Leicester City West PCTs.
Commissioning (2005)
Investigation into the relationship between youth information, advice and counselling services (YIACS) and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) aimed at producing information to inform a development programme of information and support to:
- Equip YIACS in their ability to approach CAMHS commissioners; and
- Support CAMHS commissioners to understand and appreciate the significant role YIACS can play in meeting the targets of the National Service Framework (NSF) and the comprehensive CAMHS agenda.
Neighbourhood Support Fund Phase Two (2004–2005)
Evaluation of The National Youth Agency managed, DfES funded Neighbourhood Support Fund (NSF) Phase Two projects aimed at providing learning, support and development opportunities for young people aged 13-19 judged to be most at risk of disengagement from education, employment or training.
Evaluation involved 53 projects nationally; intensive work with 15% sample based in Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Oldham, Sheffield and South Shields; including those working with black and white young women and men, and some working specifically with young black people, young Asian women, young mothers and young disabled people.
Quality Assurance (2004)
(Undertaken as an Associate of the Youth Affairs Unit, De Montfort University)
Research project commissioned by The National Youth Agency to gather information about existing quality assurance processes in local authority youth services and a selection of voluntary youth organisations; to identify examples of good practice in quality assurance; and make recommendations for the content of good youth work quality assurance processes.
